The Asociación de Empresarios Foia de Castalla (IBIAE) held its 32nd Annual General Assembly last Thursday, June 26, at Hotel Caseta Nova. The event once again brought together nearly 200 attendees, including members, the Board of Directors, and local authorities, consolidating its role as a key meeting point for the region’s business community. Representing our company at the event were Alejandro Tortosa and Mª Carmen Tortosa.
The assembly began with the approval of the financial results for the 2024 fiscal year and the budget for 2025, which had previously been reviewed by the Board of Directors. The annual activity report was also presented, and attendees received the latest economic report prepared by a consulting firm, offering a detailed analysis of the industrial landscape in the Foia.

During his speech, IBIAE President Bernardo Guillem highlighted the ongoing efforts of local companies and the structural challenges facing the region’s productive fabric. In an innovative move, he incorporated artificial intelligence into his address, posing live questions about the industrial reality of the Foia and concluding with a final intervention generated by AI, aimed at the business leaders and authorities in attendance.

Recognition of business trajectory
As a new feature of this edition, IBIAE introduced a recognition segment for member companies celebrating significant anniversaries, as a way of acknowledging their contribution to the economic and social development of the region. This new initiative aims to give visibility to the efforts of companies that, like Transportes Luis Tortosa, contribute through their daily work to strengthening a resilient and competitive industrial ecosystem.
A particularly meaningful and exciting moment for our company came when we received recognition during the assembly as a family business with 30 years of history. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and our hope to continue building many more years ahead. The assembly was attended by the mayors of Castalla, Jesús López; Onil, Jaume Berenguer; and Ibi, Sergio Carrasco, who highlighted the essential role of IBIAE in shaping the region’s economic structure. The event concluded with an informal cocktail, offering attendees a relaxed setting for networking and the exchange of ideas between companies and public representatives.
