On March 6th, M. Carmen Tortosa, second generation of the Transportes Luis Tortosa company, participated as a speaker at the “Women Who Lead in the Foia de Castalla” event, held at Caseta Nova to commemorate International Women’s Day. The initiative brought together businesswomen and professionals from various sectors with the aim of creating a space for reflection, dialogue, and raising the profile of female leadership within the region’s business community.

The event was jointly organized by IBIAE Business Association, Cucú Comunicación & Marketing Empresarial, and Mas Moelen Concept, three entities committed to the business development of the Foia de Castalla and to creating spaces that allow for sharing experiences, analyzing current challenges in the business environment, and highlighting the talent that drives the growth of companies in the area.

The day was structured around two roundtables featuring several businesswomen and professionals from the region, who shared their career paths, their vision of leadership, and the experiences they have accumulated throughout their professional journeys. Their presentations addressed topics related to business management, the evolution of business projects in an increasingly competitive environment, and the importance of building solid organizations based on trust, responsibility, and commitment to the team.

The first roundtable included Andrea Juan (Nina Nutt), Verónica Jamet (Cucú Comunicación & Marketing Empresarial), Sara Sempere (Sempere Mannequins), and Sonia Martín (CLR – Electro Mechanical Solutions for Actioning). During this session, they shared different perspectives on leadership, innovation, and the adaptability required by today’s business environment, highlighting the importance of strategic vision and decision-making in constantly evolving contexts.

For her part, M. Carmen Tortosa participated in the second roundtable discussion, along with Ángela Mira (Herrajes Bermi), Santi García (Maysan Pack, S.L.), and Marina Cerdá (Totcartó & Mas Moelen Concept). This dialogue addressed issues related to the evolution of family businesses, the responsibility involved in assuming leadership roles within established organizations, and the need to continue developing business projects with a focus on both the present and the future.

During her presentation, M. Carmen Tortosa shared reflections on the trajectory of Transportes Luis Tortosa, a family business with over three decades of history that has successfully consolidated its activity within the transport and logistics sector thanks to hard work, perseverance, and the ability to adapt to market changes. Her participation highlighted the role of family businesses within the region’s economic fabric, as well as the importance of maintaining the values that have guided many of these organizations since their inception.

The event also featured a presentation by Héctor Torrente Pastor, director of IBIAE, who emphasized the importance of continuing to promote forums that showcase the region’s entrepreneurial talent and foster the exchange of experiences among professionals from different sectors. These types of initiatives help strengthen ties between companies, promote new collaboration opportunities, and recognize the fundamental role that many women professionals play in the region’s economic development.

The event also included a special presentation by Lara Insa, whose contribution offered an additional perspective on the importance of continuing to create spaces for dialogue that allow for reflection on leadership, business management, and the role of individuals within organizations.

Beyond the individual presentations, the day was notable for its friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to hear real-world experiences related to the day-to-day management of businesses. The conversations held during the event highlighted that leadership can take many forms, but in all cases, it shares common elements such as commitment, responsibility, and the ability to face new challenges with determination.

Transportes Luis Tortosa’s participation in these types of events reinforces the company’s commitment to the business community of the Foia de Castalla region, as well as its interest in actively participating in initiatives that contribute to strengthening the region’s economic fabric.

These events not only showcase inspiring professional careers but also help create spaces for shared learning and highlight the role that many companies and professionals play in building a solid, dynamic business network prepared to face the challenges of the future.
